BISS CH Diamond
Limited Edition D'Artagnan is the first home-bred champion here at
Diamond Akitas, and with the passing of his Dam, CH Dory, he has
inherited the position of "King of Diamonds," and ruler of the
household. Dart finished his championship easily, with three
majors and was a multiple group winner and a Top Twenty Akita for
all of the three years he was campaigned as a Special. The fourth year that Dart ranked in the Top Twenty, he achieved this goal by attending only one show during that calendar year. At that show, Dart not only won Best of Breed, but also went on to win a Group 1 in a very large, competitive Working Group. The highlight of Dart's show career however, was the day he won the Region I Specialty, when his dam, "Dory," was Best Veteran, Best in Veteran Sweeps and Group I Veteran; his littermate, "Chip," was Winners Dog and his daughter, "Jewel," was Winners Bitch, to round out a truly "Family Day." With very limited breeding, Dart is to date, the sire of six champion offspring, several of which are Specialty Best In Puppy Sweepstakes winners. His get possess his sweet temperament and strong athletic structure. He now has several grandchildren on the ground, preparing to make their show-ring debuts. Now a 9 year old, Dart truly enjoys his retirement, but occasionally steps into the veteran competition ring, where just this fall he garnered a Best In Show Veteran at the Queensboro Kennel Club Show. |
