From the moment he was born, Michael proclaimed that this red male pup was his "favorite", despite Kim's constant reminders that he was "just plain"!  From this exchange, his registered name evolved and was shortened to his call name, "JP".

There is, however, nothing plain about JP's breed type or strong, athletic conformation.  From his handsome head-piece through his smooth neck, shoulders and topline, to his short hocks and strong rear, this dog says "Akita".  He finished his championship easily from the puppy and bred-by-exhibitor classes, garnering three major wins along the way.  He also competed in the Junior Showmanship catagory, including at the 2010 ACA National Specialty with his young friend, Julia Brueckner.

To date, JP is the sire of champion and pointed get.  His first litter of grandchildren have recently arrived and are showing much promise.
